The Spanish/Portuguese Cemetery

This is a little neighborhood graveyard from the 1700s and 1800s, at the corner of 21st and 6th. It belongs to an old Spanish-Portuguese Jewish congregation, whose synagogue I believe is now up on Central Park West. The top and bottom pictures actually are from before the big blizzard; compare how much snow is on the ground and on the headstones and you'll see the difference.

This is the Third Cemetery of the Spanish-Portuguese Synagogue. Years later, my landlady told me where to find the first and second.
