MrJumbo’s New York: Homing In
These are all test shots. This came out sharp enough from about 15 feet to read the letters on the metal plate behind the bulb. (Like for some reason you should care.) It also picked up the texture of the plaster nicely.

This is cheating: The secret is that I got a macro lens not long after the telephoto. (Click on the picture to see the level of detail I can get now.)
