MrJumbo’s New York: Looking Out

This is an old picture, taken with my old wide-angle camera. You can see the Empire State Building from my bathroom window. Notice how much smaller it is in pictures taken with the old camera.

When I first moved in here, I went up to the top of the Empire State Building to get some shots of my building (and my bathroom window). This is how big my building was in frames I shot with the old camera.

With a little electronic enhancement, I could bring out this much detail to show the building where I live.

Look how much better I do shooting with a powerful lens. The black arrow points to a green towel hanging out my bathroom window. Next to it, you can see the air conditioner hanging out my kitchen window. This picture picks up detail like the frames around windows and some of the brick work on the front of the building. Much nicer.
